Meet Sofia

For as long as I can remember, horses have been the center of my life. I’ve been riding for 14 years, starting in hunter/jumpers and eventually finding my rhythm in dressage after my horse, Gizmo, was injured. Though I don’t ride while I’m at school, the barn is still my home base during every college break. It’s where I feel grounded, connected, and most like myself.

But somewhere along the way, I realized something was missing. Every piece of equestrian jewelry I found felt too loud or overly literal, pieces that screamed “I ride horses!” instead of quietly reflecting the lifestyle I loved. I wanted something different: jewelry that blended in, not stood out; something I could wear from a morning ride to dinner out without thinking twice.

That’s how EQST started.

The goal was simple: to create jewelry that felt as good as it looked. Every 14k gold-filled piece is made to withstand the barn: sweat, water, dirt, long rides, long days. It’s more than an accessory; it’s a small act of confidence. You shouldn’t have to choose between function and style, and you shouldn’t have to feel less put-together just because you spent your morning mucking stalls.

For me, EQST represents that balance, the idea that beauty and practicality can coexist. It’s about showing up as yourself, wherever you are, without compromise.

As I’ve grown, my style and my perspective have evolved too. EQST mirrors that growth, it’s simplistic, subtle, and elevated. It reflects who I’m becoming: someone who values quiet confidence over flash, and timeless design over trends.

Every collection starts from a personal ritual, those small, grounding moments at the barn that remind me why I love this life. EQST is for the riders who feel the same. It’s for the ones who don’t need to announce who they are, because their presence already says enough.

When I wear my own pieces, I’m reminded that the barn doesn’t have to mean “messy” or “unpolished.” It can mean power, beauty, and strength in the most authentic way.

EQST began as a personal project, but it’s become something more, a way to share confidence, story, and identity through something as simple as gold. And as I keep growing, as a rider, a creator, and a person, I hope EQST grows too, continuing to remind others that you can be both strong and soft, functional and refined, practical and beautiful.

That balance is what started EQST. And it’s what keeps me inspired every day.
